The rise of technology facilitated abuse
Technology Facilitated Abuse is a form of domestic violence that provides abusers with a pervasive way to control, coerce, stalk and harass their victims. Behaviours include spying on and monitoring victims using tracking systems & stalker-ware and abusing victims on social media sites by sharing intimate photos and videos of the victim without their consent. This panel will discuss the scale of the problem at a national level in Ireland, how pervasive the problem is, the measures in place and programs and projects tackling this issue at a societal level.
